So inspirational!!! It is absolutely amazing how God blesses us and takes an extra step to show and make us truly know how much he cares! I actually cried when I started reading about your optimistic outlook on something many Michiganians would look at as "just more white stuff." Having lived in Georgia for over five years now, I can tell you that I truly miss the white stuff, and I have seen a little down here and visited up there during the winter a few times enough to have some occasional winter fun. But I can only imagine how five years in Uganda would make me really miss a cozy wintery day by the fire. Perhaps God was giving you one last chance to play and enjoy something you may be missing in the years to come. :grin God bless you. I hope to sometime soon be able to join you over there, even for a little while. With Christian Love, Stacy Colwell |

hello Good to read your comments. It sounds like you are settling in. God will guide you in all your ways. Wish I could experience some of what you are experiencing. The world is so huge, and I've only touched a teeny piece of it!!! You are brave and adventurous!! Go and glorify!!!!!!! |

You made me grow too!! I remember that day too. I will never look at that day again and think about how depressed I was to see snow again. I will remember that my friend had a wonderful reminder of how the Lord speaks to us. Thank you Lord for your love and thank you for sending this to Lori at a time she needed it most. In Him, Simone |

I am writing this on the evening of Sunday April 24th, a day we’ve been anticipating for a few months now. $40,000 on 4/24. That was the goal, and once again, God provided and exceeded our expectations. Today, Mark and I witnessed incredible generosity from our church family as they intentionally and sacrificially contributed $57,000 toward our ministry. Knowing both our God and our church family, this really comes as no surprise, and yet I’m still amazed. We are both incredibly excited and humbled by their gift, and the way God showered His blessings on us. We are a part of something very special at the Rochester Church of Christ. We consider it an honor to be apart of this Body of Christ. We are excited about their involvement in God’s ministry in Jinja, Uganda, and pray God blesses them for their generosity and encouragement to our family.
