Memories are the presence of friends and family unrestricted by distance and time. We especially value them here in Africa where your absence is felt everyday. We hope you enjoy these short videos of some furlough memories as much as we do:

Some of my best college memories involved backpacking and canoeing all over the country with my friend Jeff Todd. It was a blessing to spend time with him and his family on the way back to Michigan. On this fine day in May in Tennessee we paddled our junior outdoorsmen (and outdoorswoman) down the Stones River:

I claimed the Tigers as my baseball team while they were threatening to break the Major League loss record; I don't mind rooting for an underdog. It was a major imperative during our furlough to catch a game at Comerica Park to watch the Tigers as a winning team. This afternoon was shared with my brother-in-law Paul Bobo and cousins Luke, Connor, Jack, and Evan:
