Eighty degrees, fifty percent humidity, the sun shining bright in the sky sounds like the forecast for Fourth of July weekend “Up North” in Michigan.  But for us, it describes the weather of almost every day in Jinja, Uganda, including Christmas!  This Christmas season for our family was not only defined by unusual climate, but also by the absence of the usual faces of our extended families and friends.  We miss you all so much!  So, it is only natural for us to want to share with you what Christmas was for us this year.  If Christmas is a celebration of Jesus entering into our world, we can experience its meaning most fully when we enter the world of others (where we are blessed more by giving then receiving).  We learned much from our brothers and sisters in Uganda about sharing life in Jesus Christ, and hope you will be enriched by the images and the expressions of our first Christmas in Jinja.  Enjoy our video - "so this is Christmas"

You are all such an important part of our lives here and we wish you a Merry Christmas!

Lovely video! We may show it this Sunday. We are so proud of you. Kara and Josh make sure your name is always before the congregation and we all make sure it is before the throne of God. God bless you.

It was so good to see your faces and hear your voices! I miss you guys terribly. Christmas just wasn't the same for any of us back here in Michigan. I guess we'll all have to make up for it when you get back!
Love you
